Arnel Mejorada

Arnel Mejorada is a licensed chemist with over 25 years of extensive experience in the geothermal energy industry, currently serving as the Technical & Innovations Manager at Philippine Geothermal Production Co. Inc. (PGPC). He specializes in geothermal geochemistry with deep expertise in reservoir evaluation, well discharge testing, and production process analysis.

His career spans multiple facets of geothermal development—from field exploration and drilling to power plant operations and resource management. Arnel has led technical teams both in the Philippines and internationally, including at Newcrest Mining in Papua New Guinea and various geothermal fields under Energy Development Corporation and PNOC-EDC.

An expert in process chemistry, stable isotope hydrology, and laboratory management, Arnel brings a science-driven approach to technology deployment and innovation strategies in geothermal operations. He holds a BS in Chemistry from the University of the Philippines and has completed advanced training in isotope hydrology from the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna, Austria.

He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the National Geothermal Association of the Philippines (2024–2027) as Vice President and an active board member of the UP Diliman Chemistry Alumni Foundation.
